FIVE-POINT PROGRAMMATIC THRUST, PVAC YOUTH INITIATIVES, & SPECIAL COMMITTES

When 22 undergraduate women founded Delta Sigma Theta on the campus of Howard University on January 13, 1913, their intent was to establish a public service organization. The vision of 22 dynamic young women has united hundreds of thousands of women across the globe. Our shared mission is to confront the challenges facing African Americans, women, and girls and to build stronger, healthier families and communities. Prairie View Alumnae Chapter provides an extensive array of public service initatives through the shared mission under Delta Sigma Theta Sority, Inc.  Five-Point Programmatic Thrust.

The chapter’s programs are based upon the organization's Five-Point Programmatic Thrust:

      ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

 EDUCATIONAL DEVELOPMENT

 INTERNATIONAL AWARENESS & INVOLVEMENT

 PHYSICAL & MENTAL HEALTH

 POLITICAL AWARENESS & INVOLVEMENT
